TOP 10 ASUNA SKINS
Yes – it’s a shallow dip top ten or top ten on the spot for the game designs or ‘skins’ of Asuna, my top girl of Blue Archive and fourth top girl of video games in general. All art is fair use for the purpose of depicting the skins as they appear from the official game designs featured in the fan wiki.
Also yes – I had to cheat a little to get her to ten skins. Well, actually I had to cheat a lot since she only has three official skins, at least according to the fan wiki, although there does seem to be other designs as reflected in art or figures, which may or may not have some in-game status. The latter effectively rounded out the balance of the top ten and for those designs I’ve used what appeared to be game-sanctioned art or figures.
S-TIER (GODDESS TIER)
(1) BUNNY GIRL
I mean, what else was it going to be? Of course, her top skin was going to be her bunny girl version – just look at it. As for art or cosplay in that design, just look at my fourth place entry for her in my Top 10 Girls of Video Games, as her art and cosplay is predominated by her bunny girl version.
A-TIER (TOP TIER)
(2) SCHOOL
Next up is her school design, which is also close runner-up for her art and cosplay I’ve included in her fourth place entry in my Top 10 Girls of Video Games.
(3) STANDARD (MAID)
I understand this is her standard design – the maid costume that is the signature design of all the girls from Millennium School’s Cleaning and Clearing (a secret agency under cover of cleaning maid service).
B-TIER (HIGH TIER)
(4) CHEERLEADER
From here on, we’re looking at skins that don’t appear to be official game skins but seem to have some quasi-official status, at least in terms of commissioned art or merchandise. That includes this cheerleader skin, which appears to have some quasi-official published game art in the form of trading cards, as in the image from my feature image.
COSPLAY – HANE
Yes – this skin scores a Hane ranking, for cosplay of her (in this skin) by Hane Ame. There is actually cosplay of Asuna other than of her bunny or school skins – and indeed Hane Ame has done the most comprehensive cosplay of her skins or art. Indeed, it’s one of her best cosplays – and in my Top 10 Hane Ame Cosplays.

Art design by Dishwasher1910 that appears to be a quasi-official skin or at least widely accepted art that has been used for cosplay.
(5) MUSE
Again, this does not appear to be an official design but a quasi-official one – primarily by the artist who goes by the name of Dishwasher1910, presumably because they worked as a dishwasher as well as a freelance artist. I’m mostly familiar with their work from Azur Lane, where they certainly have done art for official designs (notably for Prinz Heinrich as the first to come to mind). I’m calling this her muse design because she has a violin (or similar stringed instrument) but it might also be called her formal design for the dress she wears – or alternatively her Dish design.
ART & COSPLAY
I’ve used an edited version of Dishwasher’s art as fair use to identify this variant appearance of Asuna but in such a way if you want to see the full-length version you can look up Dishwasher’s art for your
COSPLAY – YUMMYCHIYO
Surprisingly no Hane ranking as Hane Ame has been otherwise comprehensive in her cosplay of Asuna’s designs – but it does get a Yummychiyo ranking for cosplay by my queen of cosplay, Yummychiyo.
(6) NURSE
Hello, nurse! Again, this does not appear to be an official skin but a consistent design in art that has been widely used and adopted by fans, including in cosplay. I think the art may also have originated in an art design by Dishwasher but this is not as clear as for the Muse design in the previous entry. Of course, there isn’t much of an actual nurse’s uniform in the design – certainly anything resembling a nurse’s uniform as is worn in hospitals rather than adult entertainment. It’s effectively lingerie with a few nurse trimmings – I’ve seen slightly different versions but they all seem to be variations on a theme.
ART & COSPLAY
For my feature image, I’ve used the box cover art as packaging a figure of Asuna sold through online retail outlets – hence why I believe it to be a quasi-official skin or at least sanctioned art used and adopted by fans.
COSPLAY – HANE
Well, sorta – I have seen one nurse variant, but a little different (with cat ears?) in cosplay by Hane Ame. It’s enough to score a Hane ranking.
(7) BIKINI / SWIMSUIT
Well, of course – no surprises here that she has a quasi-official or merchandized bikini or swimsuit skin given her figure. I’ve seen different variants of it in fan art of cosplay but I believe my feature image originates from a licensed trading card.
ART & COSPLAY
As I said, my feature image is from a licensed trading card for retail online. I’ve also seen figures of that design for retail online.
COSPLAY – HANE
And yes – this skin scores a Hane ranking for Hane Ame cosplay of it, or at least a similar (skimpy) blue bikini design.
(8) POLE DANCER
A version I’ve only seen in box cover art for figures or the figures themselves online – which again suggests that while it may not be an official game skin, it is at least officially sanctioned (or licensed) to be sold as such figures. I can’t find the art upon which it was based, if any – it may simply have originated as a figure design.
(9) DELUXE
Again a version I’ve only seen in box cover art for figures or the figures themselves online. I’ve edited my feature image to focus on her black hotpants – her top is a grey sweater but she’s cheekily lifting it up!
(10) ALTA X DISH
This version is one I’ve seen beyond its figurine for sale online to the original art by Dishwasher1910 – hence the Dish in the title although I don’t know the origin of the Alta part – but is a little too risque for me to place higher or even feature, except from behind. You can guess how that goes.
