This is Stark After Dark, where I compile my musings and stark ravings – quips and koans, hot takes and pet peeves, betes noires and idees fixes – mostly in mythology, history and fantasy.
These are my musings and stark ravings as entries in the form of my obsessive-compulsive hobby of compiling top ten lists and special or honorable mentions for everything, alternating between deep dives or shallow dips into their subject respectively.
However, my top ten lists are often just my overarching framing device or platform for essays or features to a theme, looking at individual entries in more depth or even subjects for further top tens of themselves – particularly in my favorite subjects of mythology, history, and fantasy. Often, they tend towards iceberg memes, with weirder or wilder entries for the subject or theme the deeper you go.
As for the subjects, they are of course themselves in the form of a top ten – my top ten of top tens, if you will.
