NERO TRILOGY (2024-2026)
More historical pulp fiction – an entry I might transfer to special mentions reserved for cult and pulp but for the moment I’ll leave it here.
Iggulden is known for historical fiction (and fantasy), ever since his Emperor series about Julius Caesar and Augustus.
I happened across him from his most recent historical fiction series, his Nero trilogy – Nero in 2024, Tyrant in 2025, and Inferno in 2026. Ironically, that hot slice of crazy, Nero’s mother Agrippina, is effectively the protagonist of the first book but she’s always entertaining.
